Marcella Ricci
Blue Eyed Bek
Translated by Roberta Merlo

Born into the pack, she couldn’t truly be one of them… Why was her appearance so terribly and frighteningly different? Who was she really? What would little and peaceful Bek become?

Bek is different from her siblings. She is different from her parents. She is different even from her sister Cros. Despite all the differences she strongly feels part of her herd: the iguanodons TenderLeaf. She accepts and respects their rules. Even if her appearance is definitely more similar to the one of the Big Enemies. Maybe that is the reason why everyone look at her with suspicion and fear?
Her diversity will bring her to clash with several of her companions and, despite her friendship with some of them, she will eventually find out that she cannot live forever in a herd of herbivores, but she will have to face and accept her true nature.
A clever novel that tells about equality, inclusion and diversity. About respect and acceptance as peaceful society values. A novel that any adult should read and that they should read to their children.

Marcella Ricci (Milan, 1966) is graduated in Biology. Passionate about animals, nature, science and astronomy. Fond of travels, books, sailing, cinema and science fiction.
